85 300td parts

I'm cleaning the garage. Have a few items left over from a parts car.
  • two rear axles with intact boots $25 each
  • Radiator seems to have good flow, exterior is good $40
  • Oil cooler $25
  • Rear hydro shocks $50/pair
  • Hydro accummulators $25/pair
  • Steering box (good) $55
  • Complete HVAC box minus center vent vacuum actuator $80

All prices include shipping to the lower 48.

Thanks, we'll see if mine can tighten up with adjustment and if it can't and you still have this one (presuming yours is good and tight) then we'll talk.

HVAC box

Big Richard;

Any chance you can get a photo of the back side of the HVAC box lower section (assuming it's not in the car)? I'm in need of the linkage corss-bar that ties the two footwell flaps to the vacuum element "pod", and have seen several styles.

Hoping for a match, since I too have an '85 300TD.

Thank you

/r

I wish I could see that stuff on my '85 300TD! It was operating fine until last weekend when I went to change oil and discovered that the central locking system wasn't working right and then noted it took a long while after removing the key from the "ignition" for the engine to shut off. Drove the car to warm the oil (as Larry says "Change it hot and change it often!) and noted the transmission shifting harder than normal, all these things the nephew who drives the car failed to discover!

I starter plugging vac line and discovered that two vac line that feed thru the firewall, specifically yellow with a green stripe, are both leaky. Same as the line dangling at the bottom picture! yel/grn. It looks they feed pods in the front console area. No need for A/C (which I spent $800 getting fixed this summer!) until next year so I guess it will have to remain like this for a while and I'll plan on removing the dash next year that's after changin the steering box. And I recall an axle going clunk clunk when the car was full of passengers last Spring, do you still have an axle available?
Its bad enough having a money pit in the form of a '87 300D turbo right now when my wagon goes begging for attention!

HVAC Box

BigRichard;

Thank for the photos. That is exactly the same as mine (albeit yours is intact, not broken like the one in my car).

Let me run Mapquest to find out where you're at relative to me (Willliamsburg, VA), and I'll see if I can work out the logistics to make a run up this coming weekend.

I really only need the linkage, but will take the whole box.

Thanks again,
Dave

Steering box

Still got the steering box? It is power steering, right?

If its available, and doesn't leak, and has no slack in it, than I'm very interested. BUT only if GlennCraven doesn't want it, and it will fit a 84 300D.

Thanks
