WTB: AMG original seats (another tough one)
Looking for a pair of original AMG upgraded seats which will fit w116 body. I could find only one picture of them:

I've got a pair of Recaros that look like twins to the AMG, down to the mini-control panel. They will be going into a W116 just for fun (would really like to put them in a R107, but don't know enough yet about availability of the tracks). Let me know if you would like a picture.

Yep, those seat front as standard issue Recaro seats. Not sure if the rear picnic tray(s) were standard or not, but with respect to the seats, I am sure you can find regular Recaro on ebay, especially since even then they didnt even attempt to match the rear seats in style at all.

Sorry I can not help you. Best of luck, and thank you for the scans of the catalog. I was curious if AMG ever put 8' WIDE wheels on the front of a W123, and now I see they did.
Maybe you can get a set of Recaros and have them reupolstered, and that way they will be fresh. I recently saw some on German eBay, as well as the Recaro seat mount for a W123 (that was new)

AMG seats for early Benz
Gents, how easy is it to fit Recaro's? Will you need to manufacture new floor "rails" or whatever you call the item that attaches the seats to the floor?
