FS - M119 Heads (1994 S500 Coupe)

Still for sale! Make an offer!

Newly rebuilt M119 heads are cleaned, polished, and have ground valves.

Heads come with all four camshafts and camshaft gears. Also includes all lifters, spark plugs, the exhaust manifolds, valve covers and valve gaskets. Everything shown is what you get.

Will fit 94 - 95 S500 W140 sedans and coupes. This one came from a 1994 S500 Coupe. The machine shop did the work (receipt available) but it turns out the block was cracked and so the heads along with everything else are up for sale.

$1800 OBO - Located in Santa Monica, CA.

I'm wondering if those heads would work on a 4.2 liter.

In theory they could....I don't have an EPC to cross reference that. If the bore is the same and only the stroke is varied it would work...

Do you know the part number for the S420 heads?

I saw in another thread that you still had these heads. Are they compatible with the 500E?

Who did the machining? Why was the block cracked? If it was cracked from overheating, then were the heads xrayed for cracks?

What is your price now, 9 months later?

I understand that Metric Motors did the machine work after it was misdiagnosed determined that the heads were warped. The heads were fine as it turns out, they were completely redone and reinstalled whereby the engine was started and the block cracked and dumped coolant everywhere before even firing. The car went away and the heads were stored away for a rainy day.

Were all the valves replaced, or were they replaced as needed?

I think you will have to dig out some documentation to sell them. Plus you are really looking for a certain person to buy these. Unfortunately, I forgot about these when my heads came off. I just had the machine shop do them. regrind, guides, seals. I didnt replace the lifters, or the valves. All of my valves cleaned up nice and were within tollerances.
