Parting out '85 380 SE Toledo, OH

While trying to find a new hood, and sunroof for my ’85 380 SE, I came across a locally owned one. Clean interior, recently painted a dark gold, and overall in great shape, Except for the timing chain thru the valve cover! Upon examination, it looks like the pins rattled out of the rail feeding the driver’s side cam (don’t ask me how, I didn’t own it at the time!) but I found the pins behind the power steering unit. So, I bought it, as is, for the hood and sunroof.

Other than the chain, this car was up, running, and well maintained at the time of its demise.

This donor car has had the sunroof, hood, and trunk lid removed. I have also replaced many other items (interior trim, seats that were in better shape, etc) but I have many of those pieces left over from my old gal. Not in as good of shape, but in most cases, serviceable with little or no tears/sun fading, etc.

Camel/light brown interior, Clean Exterior, and most of the mechanicals are still in place. The car is currently stored indoors (warehouse) in Toledo, Ohio. It has not been exposed to the elements since hood, sunroof and trunk lid were removed.

I will be parting out as much as possible, and the rest goes of to the scrapper. Most of the removed, disassembled parts will be listed on eBay within the week, so, if there is something in particular you would like removed/shipped, or can pick up, I’m willing to negotiate a fair price before listing.

Pictures of specific parts can be provided upon request.

Any other questions, ask away!

Do you have a good battery tray that would fit my 300SD (w126)

Rust free or surface rust only please.

Also, do you have a good power antenna?

Thanks,

Your parts

The battery tray, doesn't look too bad, from what I saw. I will be down by the car tomorrow, and will take a pic if you like.

If I remember, it was pretty clean, just a touch of surface rust, if any.

I believe the car was sand blasted when it was painted.. ( less than 2 years ago), or at least, I found a lot of clean sand in the trunk, under the carpets!
It also looks like they removed things from the sidewalls/wheel wells and painted too. The battery tray must have been pulled. .It's still black.

thanks
