learning not to be desperate, and do not have loads of money.

like you i would not be happy with the silverplate.

adsitco is now at $599 and $50 each for my 84 us lights. I will wait.

I wonder if Depo or TYC can get parts and if they look like the Bosch stuff and then would it fit?

I would think that the Depo are better than Tyc. Based on the corner lamps i've seen better quality. Heard a lot about the Tyc one. I haven't experienced it personally. So i might be wrong..Pic of the Bosch one i got.

well,

Hopefully when I move to Germany for the Military (still crossing my fingers) I'll be able to hook some of you guys up. This whole Euro thing (wish I had some) sounds like it can be a pain.

try ebay germany

I have a 1970 250c Euro car and have had the same experience with my lights. I have been looking on ebay germany and have found quite a few sets. Go to google and type in "ebay germany" and click on the link. Once there you can go to ebay motors and type in mercedes. For lights put in lichter & leuchten and you will see quite a list come up. I don't speak german but have found that most german's understand english. I havn't bought anything yet but It looks to be a viable source. Good luck!

ebay germany

The word for headlight in german is scheinwerfer. Just go to ebay and put this auction number (8060850944) in the search box, this company looks like it may be a good source for the lights. The serch will put you on the ebay germany site. I wish I spoke german and could be of more help, but i'm sure someone out there does. Let us know if you figure it out.

http://world.altavista.com/

copy and paste the URL of the aucton, and then select "German to English"

Works quite well.

german parts connection

Yesterday I contacted a supplier of mercedes euro light parts I found on ebay germany and received word back from him today. He estimates freight at about $60.00 and would be happy to deal with us. He is a power seller with a good feedback if that is any consolation. If you forward the part numbers he will get back to you with pricing. You can pay via paypal. His name is Toboas Jeglinski. Contact him at: ebay@kfzteileberlin.com Good Luck and let us know if it works.
