Free Valvoline Oil -- Not Spam

Thought that some might want to take advantage of this offer:

http://www.valvoline.com/maxlife/microsite.asp

Free 5 qts of Valv. Max Life or Valv. Max Life Synthetic (after rebate). I know that won't fill up most MBs but its a good start.

I promptly clicked on the offer, then saw they planted a cookie on my HD so I erased it!
That stuffs not for anything I drive, thanks. If I owned a lawnmower it might be useful! Valvoline must be desperate!

Just so you know...mercedesshop.com also plants a cookie (6 that I counted) on your hard drive.

I wouldn't run max life in a diesel either though...I agree. I wonder how well the claimed "Max Life" additives actually work.

I don't know about that......

I run the CHEAPEST stuff I can find in my VW diesel and NEVER change it (it leaks so I just refill). No problems so far in 60K and 6 years. Inside of motor is nice and clean (no sludge). Don't be fooled, you would be suprised to see what you can get away w/ in a diesel. I think I may have changed it once, just out of guilt. I do like Valvoline, that's what I use for customer cars and things I care about. Castrol too and Mobil 1 (in my lawnmower, I have a VERY expensive lawnmower

In your lawnmower? You must live in the south. When I visted everyone had acres of lawns and though I didn't see anyone out mowing the entire time I was there I noticed they were always well cut.

I hope you at least throw a new filter on every once in awhile.

You use diesel-rated cheap stuff in the VW though, right?
