Question 87- 300 tdt 603.960- *WANTED* CYLINDER HEAD

WANTED TO BUY.
I need a good used #17-up cylinder head for my tdt. I would consider a cherry reasonably low mile 14 if the price is right. Mine lasted 255+k. 90-95 3.5 heads will work as well. Any info on a brand new casting deal would be appreciated as well. I would also consider buying a complete lower mile engine/long block assy. I do not need the turbo or injector pump. Thanks, Steve

I have a real nice #18 head that was cracked between the valves on the #6 cylinder. A top notch shop here in Phoenix removed the valve seats, ground out the crack, and welded it all back in with new seats. They preheat the head to over 300 degrees to insure good flow of the aluminum rod.

This head has been pressure tested to 45PSI and is tight. It actually did not leak before the work was done, but we wanted to be sure! I have spent about $500, plus my labor removing the head from a wrecked 87 300SDL. I will sell this head bare for $800 or with the valves for $950 The valves and seats are ground and the head has had a light surface cut. For $1050, I will assemble the valves with new factory springs and seals.

I wish I could guarantee this head but once it leaves my hands it is out of my control how the head is installed and used. I will provide a copy of the shop receipt showing the work that was done. Photos are available.
