Exclamation Buyer Beware!

Let me make this PERFECTLY CLEAR...

MercedesShop will take absolutely NO RESPONSIBILITY WHATSOEVER for any transactions between members. It is BUYER BEWARE.

We will only support the parts we sell...ie-
If a member has a problem with a part they bought from Fastlane we will make it right.

BUT...
If a member gets ripped off by another member they are on their own. NO EXCEPTIONS! We do NOT want to get involved in ANY WAY.

both subaru boards and the volovo and jeep boards i use have an 'i-trader' rating for both buyers and sellers.

This guy is very bad news.

Sells MB Euro headlights and stuff that he gets used in Poland and repairs internal busted adjusters adn reflector anchors with epoxy and hot glue, then lists on ebay as OEM old stock from European Dealer.

Does not follow basic packing instructions and does not use your shipper (I have Fed Ex account he shipped by UPS and cost me brokerage fees that Fed Ex does not charge) Took 4 weeks to get a reund but still out shipping/brokerage fees.

This wanker is a bottom feeding scumbag of the first order!

and Martin, you dared me to post about you, now read it and weep or just serve my lawyer/Bro in Law with the toilet paper you call a lawsuit!

Another to avoid like the plague is "Tool Price" on ebay. I bought a torque wrench from them. They sent it, but refused to send the accompanying case, and extension - even after 3 e-mails. And then they had the gonads to write a negative about me after I complained. Stay away from Tool Price.

I needed a crankshaft, which requires special shipping procedures (solid box). Shipping took three months. He shipped to the wrong address. He sent a crank that was scored on three or four of the main bearings, but had it polished.. I paid extra money for the special shipping that never happened. He never sent pictures of the bearing surfaces either, as requested. He refuses to give my money back even though I sent back the crank and did not receive the rest of the parts in the order. A bold faced liar.

here is our email dialogue:

Awesome. As long as they have not been seperated yet (flywheel (auto) / crank / dampner) and you can send me a picture of the bearing surfaces or assure me of their quality, I am very close to buying these from you. I am no rush.. I probably will not be able to get working on this project for over a month or two.

Again to clarify, I need this for a OM617.952, will your parts match the application (turbo)?

Thank you
John

I can assure you of the quality of the bearing surfaces .. these parts are from a 617 diesel turbo 952... When you are close to buying these parts I will get some pics.. the engine ran like a top... I have not pulled the crank but have the short block encapsulated in a tarp and stored in my parts room Jim

Jim

I am ready to buy your crankshaft and flywheel. These are the only parts I need. If the harmonic balancer is not worth taking off, I do not mind that as well. from the quotes I got from UPS it looks like 250 - 300 $$ for everything after shipping. Please send me a quote and payment details.

I would like the crank shipped in some kind of solid box. Please confirm.

john

John, the total will be 275 dollars and includes shipping to Portland.. I accept PayPal and USPS Money Orders.... thank you for your purchase.. Your parts will be shipped in a solid box encapsulated in foam.. Jim

Thank you Jim.

Payment sent

john

These phones are not nearly as rare as the 116 euros that i need desperatly.

hit me back if youd like to trade!

Adam
I agree to the trade.

That was on the 14th.

I think I'll need to rewire them, I don't want to jerk you around, I can send them back if you like and cover your original shipping, or I can pay you for them and fix em. I don't mean to be a square, how can I suffice the situation?
Its now the 20th and no iPhone has come yet so I send this:

I asked if i could suffice the situation with your original request of 150 or to return the lights. you did not contact me, I have sent a check instead, sorry but a 400 dollar phone doesn't add up to semi functional headlights advertised as functional headlights. If the little ****s who opened the package on my porch had took off with it, I wouldn't feel inclined to pay at all. Money is on it's way.
Sorry and good luck.
He offered the trade of an iPhone knowing the condition based on the photos I posted. Nowhere did I guarantee their functionality or say that I had tested their operation (They're 30 years old!). Thats why I posted high quality pictures (the largest the forum software would allow) so potential buyers that know more about W116's than I could judge for themselves. He has now broken the agreement and as far as I'm concerned he still owes me the iPhone.

I know, I jumped the gun shipping the lights first from being so excited about an iPhone. I should have waited until I got payment first.

Buyer AND SELLER beware!

Thumbs down jim harris (jimh16671836

I know Jim Harris has a fan club on this forum, I'm not one of them. If you return a purchase to him, for whatever reason, do NOT expect your money back, it will not happen.

I bought a transmission from him some time back. Still works great, took a little bit to get here, but other than that, he seems alright. It came with warranty, whether said warranty would've been upheld, though, I cannot say.

If you're not getting your money back, pester his balls off. You're on the high ground.
