Why would you need a whole control arm? Control arm bushings require a special tool to press them out of the control arms. I have this tool and it's part of the tool rental program. Once the control arm is off, it takes about 15 minutes to press the control arm out with this tool.

They were rusted out. I thought it better to replace them. I have a press in my shop too.
