M103 Rebuilt Head

Can you contact me on my regular e-mail -

Marcngregorio@aol.com or call my cell - 301-922-4271

Very interested. Have a '91 300E 2.6 trying to get another year or so out of. (225K); and son just started college, so you get the idea....
The car stilllooks good, but making ALL kinds of valvetrain noise. I'm afraid to open it up!!!

Is this a complete head? Valves, lifters, cams, etc...?

yes all the rockers, cam new guides, seals, valve job, even a valve cover, head came off my 86 cause it was using alot of oil, never ran hot or head gasket problems, the only thing you will need is a set of head bolts if yours are stretched, thanks richard

Hello! I find myself in need also (visible valve side movement, shot seals, cam wearing on #5, oil with every gas fill up). Its time to do this, especially since its out and on the bench). If possible sale in previous post falls through, please post. Is your head stock for '86 or is it updated with followers that have a hardened plate (where they contact the cam) and associated cam? Thanks!

Where are all you guys located?

I have a 1991 300E with 125k miles. It got into an accident and but the whole power train is good. I would like to sell the whole car.

People can also use the lower body panels to update their pre-1990 W124.

the only issue with the head was oil use, so I bought another head so the car wouldn't be down long, the head I bought had been gone thru but I already bought new valves guides and springs, so this head got new guides and seal and the valves out of the other head as they were still in specs. the head I installed barley uses any oil between changes and this head should do the same

Thanks for the quick reply, hiho. I managed to fix my problem with $6 worth of bolts from Home Depot (after the stupid mechanic told me my engine was "no good" and needed to be replaced). That's a great price for the head, though. Maybe Hanno is still interested? BTW, I'm in northern NJ.

I just received rebuilt one from "cylinderheads international" at a reasonable price. Will post results and opinion after its in and running. I'm waiting for the damn 2" hose from the head to thermostat housing to arrive so I can proceed.
