Parting 1980 (123) 240D 4-Speed Manual

This is my first MB and I'm parting it out -- a 240D 4-door sedan, sky blue outside and navy blue inside. (Looking to get my second MB -- let me know if selling a diesel wagon). The 4-Speed Manual shifts smoothly. Manual windows. No rust on top, hood, trunk or passenger-side fender, so all these parts would be candidates for someone wanting to restore their 240. Has A/C, compressor runs but I think the system needed a recharge and I never bothered to do that. I'm pretty sure all the A/C components are good. Has 220k mi. Engine ran dry on oil and still runs although certainly with lower bearing damage or some such very costly repair. That's why I'm parting it out. All other engine parts work and should be good, except whatever kept the cruise control from being set (it surges but doesn't set).

If you need parts from it, call me at (765) 743-2584. CAR IS IN LANESVILLE, IN (NEAR LOUISVILLE, KY).

Does it have body colored hub caps, and is it the same color as the car in my signature?

Parting 1980 (123) 240D HUBCAPS

Yes, they're that baby blue/sky blue color and they match, but one is missing. The three hubcaps are in good condition but there are a few scrapes and dotting of the paint, although they look good from a distance.

Parting 1980 (123) 240D - A/C Compressor; Chrome Trim

benztech13: let me see how long it takes me to remove the compressor and based on that come up with a price. I guess with the weather getting colder, you won't need it for a while? Are there any special instructions for removing it--plugging any holes after it's removed, or anything like that? I want to make sure it stays in great shape!

E320wagon'94: I do have all the chrome trim. Let me try to figure out removing it. E-mail me in about a week or two to ask my progress.

Also wondering what condition/level of completeness the interior is in? I've been looking for some misc plastic pieces and a rearview mirror.

Pics of the 240D 4-Speed Manual Trans. w. Manual Windows Parts Car

Hello all, I thought I would offer some pics of the parts car. It's missing one hubcap, and I have already sold the front bumper, the grille, and front turn signals.

4-Speed Manual Transmission, Engine components including starter, alternator, A/C compressor, condenser, Injector Pump, Vacuum Pump, etc all worked fine before the engine starting making a funny noise. In fact the transmission had a new clutch installed about a year before that.

The engine still runs, but surely will need work on the lower engine bearings or similar components. Due to this and the fact the body has some rust spots, I'm parting it out. If anyone wants any parts, or to take the whole car, call me at 765 743-2584 or send a message.

I do have a tow bar that can be secured to the front bumper mounting points. I used it to tow the car, and could sell that with the car if someone wants to take the whole thing.
