FS 1977 240D for Parts or Restore

I have this posted under the car section of the site but I have more interest in buy parts off the car then someone buying the whole thing. Moderators feel free to delete this post if I am out of line. (I didn't see anything about posting in multiple forums when the item sort of fits in both forums.) If no one is interested in the whole car, or I get enough interest in parts that it makes it worth my time to cut the car apart, I will be parting this car instead of selling it whole.

Here is the link to my thread under cars for sale.

1977 Mercedes 240D-$500-for parts or Restore

Thanks,
Glenn

Lots of parts left:

Injector pump, IP $100
Manual windows
bumpers
interior
head
block
tranny transmission-works-
metal radiator

Name your price for most of it!!! I am under pressure to get it off my property so I am trying to sell as much as I can before I am forced to scrap it or try and find another place to store it.

Thanks,
Glenn

Recieved the injectors and cable today, Thanks! What kind of shape is the grill in, and do you have the hood star?

It is a rust brown color. I don't know the official MB name for the color and the online VIN decoder doesn't work for 1977 VIN's. If you look at:
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/sh...d.php?t=184225
There is a picture of the console and you can see part of the carpet color. The rest of the interior is about that color also.

The interior is what it is. There is a small puncture hole in the driver's seat and of course the seat springs could use some work. The carpet is shot, but all the plastics are good.

Let me know if you want some interior pics to show it better.

Glenn

The grill has a couple of minor dents in the center vertical chrome piece and some of the plastic in the grid is chipped. The hood star is there and I will sell it with the grill, but I was kind of hoping to keep the star as a backup.

But everything has its price. Make me an offer.

Thanks,
Glenn

Your link didn't work. Does the interior look like this color?

I am trying to find a seat bottom in good shape in Henna. I only need the material, not the springs. Maybe from a passenger seat, if color is the same......

Ooooh.....henna?......
What shape is the driver backrest in? Is the headliner & roof handles the same color as well?(I think mine were replaced with tan ones). I also need the clips for the sunvisors.

Jimmy, sorry about the broken link. It was intended to link to the same page as in the post when I started this threat and that one works. Your link didn't work for me.

Chris, the headliner and roof handles are more of an off white color. The material on the drivers seat backrest is great. I think the springs are fine too. The net on the back of the seat is pretty stretched out. The clips for the sunvisors are the rust brown color.

Thanks,
Glenn

Ok, sounds like my headliner may be ok then, the clips I do need, and also the seat backrest if it is the same color, mine has a nice rip in it.

The seat backrest is the same rust brown color as the rest of the interior. Do you want me to ship the whole seatback with headrest, armrest, and net on back? I'm not sure what shipping will cost to CA, but PM me with what it is worth to you. (Sunvisor clips included.)

Thanks,
Glenn

I still would be interested in the passenger side seat bottom if no holes. '77 models have the welded seams instead of the stitched, but that would still look better than mine with a tear at one of those seams.
I don't really need the springs/frame. Mine is really good, so less weight, less shipping....
