Hey Tom, You might check over on the Pelican forum. There's alway lots of auto-x Porsche stuff listed. A stock Porsche seat is an upgrade from the MB.

Also, our '06 Jetta's seat is a bit too snug for everyday driving. Might be good for this if you can find one out of a wreck.

I've got a 914GT I've been working on for a while now. Hope to get to auto X it someday soon.

I just bid on a used kirkey racing seat.

There are several available on ebay for not too much money.

I don't know what class you run in, or if you care, but I think a fixed seat (like the kirkey) might affect your class.
Also, if you haven't gotten the harness yet, Crow is a good brand, and can be had for a reasonable price if you go with the latch instead of quick release.

I am running e street prepared. I am pretty sure any seat is ok.

I have a nice used racing four point harness.

Thanks for the comments.

I don't know what e street prepared means but I would suggest you run a few times before you do something like getting a new seat. Also, rules may rewuire that you have the same set-up for the driver's and passenger's seat. Just make sure...

You may get more bang for the buck if you go with racing tires...

Best regards,

Eric

I ran about eight times last year and so far about four times this year. The rules require four seats capable of holding an adult. Any seat apparently will do. I am running Hoosier autocross slicks.
