124 Chassis Outside Ambient Temp Display Modules

I've got a couple of Fahrenheit reading 124 Outside Ambient Temp Display Modules, MB #124 542 01 05 5-pin inline connector, $30 shipped anywhere in the lower 48. For anyone in Alaska, Hawaii $30 plus shipping cost balance over $5. For anyone outside the US $30 plus the shipping cost balance over $5 (non-US paying via PayPal require's an addition $2 to cover their cross border fee!) I will provide the correct plastic 5-pin inline connector shell if you are installing the newer style module in an older chassis equipped with the earlier 4-pin square style connector. If you're interested please PM. Thank you!

To answer a question that has been posed, I've tested these modules for function cycling them from just below freezing to the 136 degree maximum temp, this function test also tests the all the LCD display segments for proper function. The other thing that has been tested is the function if the integral backlighting display bulb. These modules are perfectly functioning operating units and the LCD display is in perfect condition as well.

I also have a few 126 Outside Ambient Temp Display Modules both Fahrenheit and Celsius reading which are available;your choice, for the same terms.

That's a good price. I bought a new console to replace mine. I wish you had these for sale 6 months ago. I can't believe you haven't had any interest yet.

Thanks!

Thanks for the comments! I have had a number of inquiries and have sold a couple already, I still have a few and I've added the 126 modules I have to the offering. Yeah I think its a pretty good deal, only a couple years ago they regularly sold for $75; there seem to be more available of late, I guess more of these older chassis cars are ending up being "recycled". Thanks again!

Hi, can you PM me please? Do you have one for a W126? Mine is in Celsius and unfortunately my brain just can't convert on the fly as I would like it to. Can I just swap the display and leave the wiring/sensor, etc. in place?

I bought one, it works great. He even included the plug body to adapt my old 4-pin cable to the newer style 5-pin module! My wife (it's her car) is happy now.

I have a 1993 300CE Cabriolet with the C reading. Which W model do I have? Do I have a 4 prong or a 5 prong adapter?

That's not a good sign for a 603. That indicates excessive pressure in the cooling system which usually means the head has developed cracks from overheating. The only real remedy is a new head. However, that's one sportscaster's opinion (I think that's what Sam Malone said). Kinda hard to do a compression test on a hot engine if you can't start the engine.

So this isn't a complete hijack, I'll contact B-bob to buy one of those temp displays

Temp Display

I am looking for a 5 pin connector. Not a display, but just the 5 pin connector. Is there anything available? If not, do you have a P/N?
