I have a 4,5 l sl engine that has bad cam towers. The cams I think can still be used if cleaned up. Some metal transfer on bearing surfaces. The engine run fine until the cams didn't get oil and the towers of both side run dry and froze up. I'm still puzzled why it happened. The engine stopped running without snapping the timing chain. Bottom of engine turns freely (have not taken heads off only cam towers). Write for parts you may need. I don't need this engine anymore as I have a cpl 3.5l euro engine replacement.
