I have an 83 240D I am parting out. The motor and trans are coming out and being used in another project, so just about everything else is up for grabs dirt cheap. Looking for:

Rear seat back, IF it has the head rests. Just need the brackets, black seat top grommets and the headrests to complete my seat. Palamino would be great.

Wheel covers. I have one scraped, one dented, and two pretty good with a few rock chips. How are yours? I can let you know how many I want if you can describe them a little.

Steering gear box, IF it is tight or at least not adjusted out to the limit.

I believe each of these cars are the final production year for that model.

What color is the interior? Is it Henna? If so, we need to talk about some front seat bottom skins, driver seat backrest skin, driver armrest skin, sunvisor clips, & driver door pocket. If you could post a pic of the interior for us that would be great, thanks.

what kind of shape are the tail lights in? if in nice condition, i can come and pick them up. thanks

I don't know the "proper" names of the interior colors, is there a code on the VIN or something I can look up? Anyway, here's a picture, best I could do, it's kinda dark and cloudy here today.

That looks off from henna, but then the lighting as you said was less than desirable, and I know that can affect it a lot. Yes, there is a code in the vin, you can run it thru the russian site linked in here and it should give you the readout all about the car. There are others here who can tell you exactly what part of the vin it is and what the #'s would be (I'm not that well versed on the vin's yet),lol. Henna is basically a rusty reddish brown color, leaning more towards a maroon look unles directly in light.
