WTB - W126 1st Gen. Rear window trim. - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

Looking for W126 rear window trim. Okay if faded (I can polish it with buffing wheel), but must be free of out of shape bends. Actually only need the top / side two pieces.

Prefer near Washington, D.C. so I can pick-up and avoid cost and potential damage from shipping odd shaped item.

I probably have it. I just pulled the rear window on an '84 300SD, will have to check the condition. I also have an '87 300SDL, untouched in the rear so far. I'm in Marshall, VA, Fauquier Co. 3 miles from I66

I also have the rear trim and in good condition seal from the 1988 donor from which I got the glass. I might just go to the second generation trim. Not too many people would probably notice the second generation trim on a first generation car, and it might be a good conversation starter for those that do. Unfortunately it means pulling the rear window again to make the change, and also buying more sealing compound. 001 989 31 20. 0019893120.

For now I removed the top two pieces of trim and so far the window has not fallen out.

I only have the '87 300SDL trim. Don't know if you want that, it's not first gen.

I found some at a pick & pull
