Anyone have the oval shaped plastic cover that goes over the rear of the wiring for a W116 Euro headlight? I didn't realize that the cover was missing hence the crud buildup in the lens.

I think the passenger cover may have been intentionally omitted to aid cool air flow to the battery. I think I recall seeing only the driver's side cover listed in a parts book, but this was for a US headlight model.

That would make sense in theory but there is no air flow since there are no holes or vents in the assembly itself. The engine bay definitely needs it since the engine bay is sizzling anytime I drive it because that 6.9 heat output is staggering.
