FS: Bumpers parts, W108, W111, W116
I currently have two sets of used 1969 108 bumpers and some 1969 111 coupe bumpers. I also have a new left front lower driver side 108 bumper section that is in perfect condition and a recently rechromed right rear passenger side 111 bumper section. I was looking to get $200 each for the bumpers but I could disassemble for shipping and/or part out specific pieces if necessary and/or will take offers. I also have a set of NOS bumper guards for a 116, and a NOS rear rubber strip for a 111 3.5 coupe. I have attached some pictures but could provide some more detailed pictures if interested. All items are also available for pickup in Denver, CO.
In general, the two set of 108 bumpers are very straight and rust free and the chrome is shiny and unpitted. There may be some light dings, scratches and scraps on a few of the sections which I could detail further if interested. These may or may not come out using chrome polish. The rubber on them is generally in good shape with some small scuffs and scraps. BTW the top overriders are interchangeable with the 111 bumpers so I have several sets of these in excellent condition. One set of bumpers is a matched set from a 1970 280 SE and has holes drilled for bumpers guards which are also available. Therefore on these bumpers there is also a hole in the rubber part for the guards. Also there are some small creases in the chrome where these guards were bolted onto the main bumper sections. The bumper guards appear to be a heavy cast aluminum or pot metal and look like they could be easily cleaned up with some polish. They are stamped "Universal Scared" and Made in France. The rubber pads are in great shape. The mounting brackets and the stiffeners on these two sets are also in excellent shape with some light rust on the back bumper stiffener and brackets. Another set is from a 1969 280 SE. These are not drilled for the guards. The front bumper while in excellent condition does not have the rubber strip/pad installed and the back stiffener/brace is somewhat rusted. The rear bumper also has the internal stiffener installed and is also rust free and in excellent condition. The 1969 111 coupe front bumper has some surface rust on the inside and the chrome is lightly dented and scratched on the outside but is very solid and all there. This bumper has Lund bumper guards installed. These are heavy gauge chromed steel which are rust and dent free but need to be rechromed. The protective rubbers pieces are very nice as well. The rear bumper for the coupe includes a recently rechromed right rear passenger side bumper section and the top overriders. BTW the top overriders are interchangeable with the 108 bumpers so I have several sets of these in excellent condition. The lower passenger side section is missing but the two rear Lund bumper guards are included. The 116 bumpers guards are new NOS. They are in original box labeled 280, 300, and 450 Mercedes bumper guards-stock no. 756-MB13. They are chromed steel but of a thinner gauge than the Lund guards. I am not looking to get much for these, so please make an offer. Please let me know if I can provide any more details on these items. Thanks
