You folks are impressive, and a huge reason why this is pretty much my "home base" for Internet browsing.
Way to stay after that low-life.
And, when you really sit back and think about it, what kind of character-less low-life acts in the manner that this guy did/does?
Amazing in a pitiful way....

Oh, we've got addresses. I have a handful of interest, and names to go with them. I'm not one for physical threats, but I am glad to pursue this within the limits of the law if for no other reason than to discourage the guy from ripping off others.

Wish I had seen this last week...

I just purchased a used central door lock vacuum pump from this guy. Specifically stated I needed one for 1982 SD with one three prong plug, got it in today and it was the wrong one.

Didn't think too much about it other than being disappointed. Tried PM'ing him on the forum but noticed he had been blocked. Sent him an EMail to the address used for Paypal asking for return/refund. Then I read this post.

Still hoping to resolve this without escalation, but after reading this guy's posts, I don't have much hope.

If I hear anything back from this guy, I'll let you know. The constant vigilance and helpful folks really makes this forum a special place that I feel privileged to be a member of.

Wow.... and to think I almost sent this guy money for a flywheel. He seemed a bit fishy so I'm glad I hung back. A crook and from the looks of his responses, a complete a-hole as well.

Thanks for rooting him out, guys!!

Uncle Possum ,
Good luck !

This is a good example ......Perhaps if there was a "Vendor Feedback" forum here you could have avoided this.....

Uncle Possum , did he contact you indicating that he had this part...?

So far, So good

I got this reply today
"Charles, I do apologize for that. The incorrect pump was sent to you in error. I do have the correct one and will be sending it out tomorrow."

Seems on the up and up so far...

Keep us updated; I hope he does send it. He made me promise after promise, too, though. Maybe you can ask him when I'll get my refund. 4+ months and counting now...

You know, I hope he DOES change his ways. If he'd make good on his outstanding misdeeds and learn from the missteps, he might be a great resource for parts. Why he can't just do the right thing is WAY beyond me. I'm a fair guy and would be GLAD to announce a refund if he ever decides to bother to send one. What's so complicated about sending out a money order, I don't know. He doesn't seem interested in providing an answer to that question, either.

Imagine if he'd just man-up and run a straight business. No need for 6+ (and counting) anonymous email addresses, multiple phone numbers (most all disconnected), numerous addresses to send payment to (including addresses registered to other people who might be quite surprised when they find that they've been party to fraud), etc...

I could never understand people like this.

Ah, just saw that you used PayPal. He may actually make right this time as he knows you can do a chargeback if you used a credit card to pay, and he won't want to tick off PayPal. I still hope you get the right part or your money back.

Here is another looser to add to the list Omar Contreras aka OJwerks at Benzworld. I don't believe he is registered here but maybe the mods could take a look.

I second the motion for a "Vendor Feedback" forum! Moderators can you set one up?
It could have two uses for both positive and negative feedback.

He was back most recently as "rauntome" and "eurotech35" before that. Add "laneypitt@hotmail.com" to his many email addresses.
