vintage 1961 Becker Mexico radio in a 220
Anyone who's interested, at the local PNP out in Redding, I found a 1961 220 with a becker mexico radio in it. The front bezel plastic is chipped under the knobs, and the on/off knob acts a little weird, but its a good looking radio otherwise. Interior is pretty well ravaged, cluster is gone, body and engine are still intact and pretty clean looking. All of the interior wood looks to be there but needs refinished. It has straight bumpers front and rear, the head and taillights have already disappeared.
This stuff is all out there in the yard still, I didn't remove any of it.

I assume it's an AM/FM tube radio. Is the power supply/amp in the car as well? It should be bolted to a bracket on the firewall above the passenger footwell, with a multi pin round plug connecting the tuner cable to the amp. Hopefully no-one's hacked off the cable.
I'm interested in the radio, depending on price & shipping to the east coast. PM or E-mail me. Happy Motoring, Mark

Chris:
Is this another finback? If it is I'd be interested in two more wiper assembly like the other one I bought from you. My Willys buddies are showing some real interest in these and if you know where to find a couple more I'd be interested in them. Jerry |
