Does anyone have a set of roof racks -- factory or aftermarket -- that will fit a W123 Sedan? It's my 1983 240D.

I want to carry bikes, kayaks, etc. and so forth and new ones seem to be about the $500+ mark.

Will Wagon racks fit on a Sedan?

I've been looking at the Yakima racks on ebay, and the Q towers and rain gutter towers seem to go for $60 to 80 and then you'll need the cross bars, maybe another $30. This is probably an easier way to go than adapting the wagon rails to the sedan roof.

I've got a wagon and the towers that clamp onto the factory rails go for closer to $100.

Do I have to get the Q Towers, or could I get the 1A Raingutter ones?

I don't really want to clip something into my door frames, since wouldn't that make closing the doors less easy?

Wagon ones are way too long for a sedan. aftermarket seems to be your best bet.

You might have to go to a shop that sells them for a test fit...it looks like the rain gutters should work, and the Q-towers might not even be an option, judging from the picture of how they attach. Any bike shop should carry them.

I got a Thule roof rack. Unfortunately there is no part number for it.. I'l add pics later..
