WTB: Drivers Front Carpet Piece BLUE 240D

I desperatly need the drivers front carpet for my car, i just bought it and found out that it was saturated with oil, i am not putting it back in the car. I already threw away the padding underneath it anyway. Anyone have one? And yes, the oil pressure gauges has been fixed.

That would be awesome, any chance you have the matching mats? I really dont care what shape the mats are in as long as they arent saturated with engine oil too.

Oooh. I just pulled a few parts from a '77 280E that seemed to have a fairly nice piece of front driver carpet with padding in blue. I can go back and see if it's still there for you maybe this weekend, but it could be gone by then, so I can't make promises.

After a brief search I found an excellent early 123 drivers floor mat with excellent rubberized foam backing in the berber style carpet in navy blue. I may have the other three mats too. I will have to check what folks are selling them for....do you have an offer? you can pm if you like. If I have all four mats I will want to sell it as a set since the drivers is the one that always gets shot.

No no no. i need the CARPET for the drivers front with the padding and would like a whole set of mats. Is there a difference in the carpet between early models and my 83?

What I have is the factory carpet which has the molded foam on the back with the rubber coating. On the top is carpet with a molded in rubber part where your heels rest while driving. It is shaped to fit the car and around the gas pedal with snaps to hold it in place. It is of the style for a car older than the 83 but I believe the only difference is the texture of the carpet. The older carpets in my opinion hold up better and don't show dirt as much.

I would kind of like to keep it the same so it all matches. But if worst comes to worst, i might have to get it from you. Is there a chance that you may have a later one?

Is there any way you can send me pictures of your carpet and mats?

Let me take a look. I would only have the molded back removable mats front and rear. The pieces of simple carpet on the inside of the sills and such I would not have.

No newer mats for sure.

77-78 all 123 cars had loop pile carpet
79-82 velor or cut pile was optional, loop standard
MY 83-85 loop discontinued, cut pile only available.

BTW I have a great set of front sections of Blue loop on eBay... Parting Shabby....

Sorry, NO oil stains. All I've done is a quick vacuum, the flash highlights the dirt...
