Feel free to stop by. I have nothing to hide, everyone makes mistakes.
On a better note. I apologize about the seat. Your refund will be in the box with the seat cushion bottom. I still have it. What I have been really short on is time. Again i apologize and your $100 i do believe it was like i said will be in the box. I still have the UPS packing slip with your address assuming it is still the same. And on an ending note. I am not a hard person to contact. Yes it is my fault that the seat was not shipped. But you have made no recent attempt to contact me in a form other than my very busy email box. As other members posted out my phone numbers are posted across multiple forums and a simple google search of my name would have provided you this information. Again I apologize for the inconvenience and will PM you a FedEx tracking number. -Kyn

UPS C.O.D.....need I say more?
UPS COD = http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/shipping/time/service/value_added/cod.html
Description: UPS will attempt to collect the amount shown on the C.O.D. tag or package label, and then send the payment to you. If UPS cannot collect the payment after three attempts, the package will be returned. When you select C.O.D. for a residential address, you will also receive UPS Voice NotificationSM at no additional charge. If you have provided the recipient's telephone number, then UPS will call the recipient to advise when the shipment will be delivered and the amount of the payment due. Your customer is then prepared to accept delivery at the first attempt, and UPS can expedite your payment. Terms of Service These terms of service apply to C.O.D.: UPS will accept C.O.D.s for amounts up to US$50,000.00 per shipment. UPS will accept a business or personal check, or another negotiable form of payment. At the shipper's request, UPS will accept a cashier's check or money order only. UPS will not accept currency in any amount. The shipper assumes all risk related to the collection of the payment, including non-payment, insufficient funds, and forgery.

Sad thing about this whole matter is that he has sent me the UPS - COD slip with the check, i just keep pushing it off. Look where i landed now. But as said, we all make mistakes. This one will be quickly corrected.

A refund is totally unnecessary, shipping the seat is. A deal is a deal, but for heavens sake, I even sent you a prepaid, addressed UPS shipping document. I accept your apology (with the condition that I finally get the seat) but forgive me my doubts; have you any idea how many times you have promised that it would be shipped "by the end of the week". All of our correspondence has been by email, which you had responded to until recently. I don't have the time to play detective, nor do I frequent any of the other forums and figured the best way to get a response was to start a thread like this one. Perhaps if you weren't so busy posting in the thousands on miscellaneous forums you might have found the time to get the package to the shipper. An old guy once told me "Don't worry about screwing up, if you don't make mistakes it's a sure sign that you aren't doing anything. The important thing is that you learn from those mistakes and don't repeat them" All water under the bridge; send me the seat and we can all move on. I appreciate your response......Jim

I think you should go back and edit the title of this thread to show this result. Even though time has passed, the deal was made good. Title should reflect this. JMO
I've been in both parties shoes, never this late, but there never the less.

I wouldn't be so forgiving. Waiting 3-4 months to receive delivery of a purchased item is complete negligence, bordering on criminal. It doesn't take that long to box up a seat. You get a box, some bubble wrap, and tape. You then bring it to the shipper, done deal. What's required is a sense of responsibility to fulfill one's obligation to honor the deal in a expedient manner. Let the posting stand as stated so others are for warned to beware.

it turned out well for both parties and no one lost their cool

The title can remain, it doesn't bother me much. Those who read the thread will see what happened. The things i wanted removed have been. Like i said before it was my fault, but I'm glad we have cleared everything up and started out the new year on a good foot.
Jim, glad the seat is okay. There was a little bit of white residue powder type of crap that the bottom from sitting in my basement with my other car parts resting up against the baseboard, should be easy to get off with an alcohol wipe and some elbow grease. Didn't have any of either on me at the time :p

Kyn is cool - very helpful member (from the other W201 board). almost got into a brawl for me because of a seller in the east coast who didnt want me to pickup
I dont know what job he has that entails shipping an item for weeks on end. but I still got my item thank you (and I hope you didnt wait too long for the fender sidemarkers template from my end as well) |
