'88 3.0 short block engine (no head) with 140K miles on it. Head gasket blew (it did not overheat), just started seeping with moisture under the valve cover and at exhaust pipe, so this engine came out and another went in it's place. Ran great, strong and has everything except the cylinder head.

If it's not worth $350 then you tell me what it's worth to you. Fair enough?

is it a 14 head? was it sound when removed?

The head is a 14 and has not been removed yet, but a few others are in line to buy it, one I'm waiting to hear from, (and Lux wants it) so I guess he will get it if the other guy does not come through.

No I did not get your PM Lux because I had an accident with my Mercedes on the 4th, and it upset me , [maybe you can imagine]...a parking lot accident in a blind curve, not my fault, but now I have a custom front-end on the drivers side....waiting on insurance to pay () and I will not recommend Met-Life as an insurance carrier, since they are very rude and will hang up on you in the initial phone call from the claims adjuster. At least Nationwide (my carrier) has been on my side with this one! That's about all I can say for them though, but I guess that's a lot, huh?

Lux, I sent you a PM reply. If you split the gas with me (I get 28mpg with my 2.6, with a 3.27 gear ratio, had plans to run a 2.65 ratio....will have to wait for insurance to settle with me first ) I'll remove it and bring it to you. I used to live in the Wilmington area and know my way around, so if you reply to the PM, and send me your phone number I'll make plans for this weekend. Talk with you soon.
