I'm heading out of town in the morning, so don't email me about this, please (I won't be here to answer)!

I have ABSOLUTELY no interest in this car, but I did go look at it today. She's a very nice retiree, and I told her I'd drop a note out here and take some pictures, which I did. She's looking for a good home, and if you get turned on by finnies (and this one is a long wheelbase sedan), this could be it... The pictures are available here:

Here's what the owner told me about it:

Her father bought the car when new as a European delivery. He saved EVERY receipt for this car. As best I can tell, it has about 260km on it. It last ran approximately 5 years ago. Her husband, now deceased, made her quit driving it as he felt it wasn't reliable (but, she said, it never did strand her...). The engine was rebuilt about 15 years ago, and very few miles have been put on it since. At the time it was last running, the air suspension was fine, but who knows now...

Car appears to be rust free. I mean, rust free. The only hint of rust is on the back bumper (chrome). Exterior color is blue, and it is original and therefore needs some attention. It could probably be polished up and be presentable, but not real attractive. The chrome looks all there, but is pitted. The interior needs some work. Wood is restorable, it appears. Seats could use recovering (blue cloth), but MB Tex may be salvageable. Back deck shows signs of water damage - seals around the back window are cracked and probably leaked.

She can be reached at 210.521.1104 and her name is Katie Dewey. Her email address is kdewey1@juno.com. Again, I haven't met her before today and I have no other interest in this other than I'd hate to see this car go to the wrecker! She had it in the paper for $1400.
