Wanted: W124 dark amber euro turn signal lens
Hi, I don't post much on this board but I'm pretty active on another benz forum. I'm looking for a left turn signal lens for my 500E, specifically the dark amber euro variety. My body shop was only able to find the lighter domestic version with the reflective strip along the side. I've searched high and low and am having trouble finding anything other than light amber or clear corners. If anyone here has a dark amber corner or knows where I could get one, please let me know.
Thanks! |

I have a pair of NIB amber Euro signals, but I don't think that they are darker than the US version, just lacking the reflector. Do you need the part number to order them?

Number on the Left one: Bosch 1 305 233 928
This is the amber w/o reflector, w/2-pin socket. Right is -929. I believe the clear Euro is -936 and -937 (w/o reflector) If they're unavailable or they are insane prices let me know, I might be willing to part with this pair.

I have a left side one you can have for $20.
It has two 5 mm holes in the grey plastic that I used to mount city lights. You can easily seal the holes with silicone or something. Let me know. |

$100 doesn't sound far off really, I believe that I paid $39ea for mine, not cheap but not insane either.
If you want the pair I'll sell them for $80 shipped, won't be at all offended if you don't want them though. Check with the parts guys listed on the forum, they might sell you just one for $39 and you won't need to buy a pair. I got mine by mistake ordering the clear Boschs, kept them thinking I might find a car in that stunning ruby-red metallic and they'd look really nice. So far, they've been in a box since '96.

Here you go...ignore the dust its been sitting in my basement since I broke the right side one. The lens is in very good condition, no scratches, that is a reflection you see in the pic You can see the holes I drilled, stupid I know but they are easily sealed and don't affect the unit.

Mine are the same color as Yal's photo, so let me know. I didn't know that was darker than US, learn something every day.

Yal that is exactly what I'm looking for. The holes shouldn't be much of a problem. Are they particularly noticeable through the lens? I so I could probably just get away with using aluminum foil or something.
babymog if it's all the same to you I'm going to go with yal's I think, just because I only need the left one. If I can't get the holes to work right or something you may hear from me Thanks for the offer in any case |

Josh no you can't see the holes at all from the lens side. Water doesn't even get into the holes even at high speed because of the way the W124 is designed at that corner. A little bit of silicone or some electrical tape will seal them up for you. I have paypal if you prefer.
