Repairing leak in Washer Fluid Reservoir

Greetings,

I was wondering if anyone here has had any success repairing a leak in an MB washer fluid reservoir. If I'm not mistaken, they're made of polyethylene or a similar material that can't be repaired with plastic sealants.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Bill

If it's a small leak like a crack, & you're good with a soldering iron, you could fuse it back together carefully (similar to how a body shop does plastic bumper repairs), another idea would be to lightly scuff the area with sandpaper, clean it, and wipe a small bit of clear RTV over the area with your finger.
