Trial Baloon - Set of Alloy (non-bundt cake) wheels

My buddy has a complete set of 5 light , non-steel "regular" hubcap-style 14" wheels that came on his parts 83 240D. Anybody have an interest? Since the tires would have to be removed ( although they aren't in bad shape, they are pretty old) to ship, there's a fairly big hassle factor, and he would need to come up with an equivalent set of steel wheels for his ride.

Anyone "dying" to have a set of these? What's it worth ?

25 to 50 ea.

They are pretty scarce now and always were. They make a 240 ride and handle sweetly.

The only down fall is if you slide on snow into a curb they will bend very easily. When I was providing cars for all my kids I tended to make sure I had a steel wheel on at least the right front and usually both fronts for this reason.

Not super valuable though.

Would your friend be interested in a straight trade for a set of 14" bundts with decent tires on them? I'm just down the road from you...but will be coming by next Friday night enroute to JAX.

No, he hates bundts (and I asked him). In fact he gave me a set of bundts with decents tires on them. Personally, I rather like bundts, myself but to each his/her own....

Okay, in that case...I've got 3 regular steel wheels I'm not using...and am sure I could dig up a 4th.
