I hate to do it but I will never end up restoring it. I am going to part out my grandfathers 1972 Mercedes 300SEL. I bought the car from my family about a year ago but have come to the conclusion I will never do anything with it. The car is not running due to sitting and some of the parts such as air bags of course are no good. The car is a southern car but does have some rust spots on some of the body pannels. All of the pannels are straight and the rust could easily be repaired. I will either sell parts or the whole car. There are tons of good parts on the vehicle. Bumpers are all shiny and no rust, grill is perfect, lights, body moldings, etc. The seats were redone with factory mercedes leather covers in the late 80s when the car was last painted and worked over. It was running and drivable until about 96 when it was parked in a garage and basically left to fall apart.
