How interchangeable are these things? Mine's an '85 300TD euro, my amp looks most like item number 170191256213

The numbers on mine are close to all three, but not exactly the same as any...

I am not sure on the interchangeability thing, but do know that the 3
that I tested and worked good were all tested in my 83 300D.

Okay, Jack. I went ahead and got the one that looks the most like the one I have. Figure I'd give it a shot. Had to bid it up higher than I expected. If its someone else here, sorry about that. If it doesn't work out for me I'll offer it up here first...I'll probably take a hit on it

Yeah, that one is out of an '87SDL and was the one I was trying to get, so I bid on one out of a 300E and got it for $30. Seems like they all should work if they worked on Jack's 300D.

Oh wow, how'd you know what it came out of? It was the only one that had the pins in the same area of the unit as mine does. But I guess it they all worked on Jack's 300D, I hope I've got a good shot at finally having a working cruise.

I have been told that any of the ones that are 14 pin will work
but may not have the sensitivity or may drop a few mph after
they are set. So I go ahead and try them out in the D to make sure they
lock in and excellerate, decelerate, and resume, then took them out and put in the next one.

I doesn't grab *instantly*, but quick enough, and accelerate, decelerate, and resume work fine...even cancel.
The cruise has never worked, I half expected it to not work with the new amp. It has a stamp on it that says 95 (where mine says 85), so I guess its made as a replacement? Lets hope it lasts longer than the original.

I've got my old non-functioning unit now if someone wants it to play with. Drop me a line.
