Need headlight filler panels ( W126)

If anyone has the trim strips, ( or filler panels) without the wiper holes. just under the headlights, on a 260E, or similar that I can use on my black color 93 300E
PLEASE PM or call me; ( Parts discussion thread below...)

Thanks, Austin C : 1-954-210-5808

1993 300E black ext;

I replaced front headlights and side flasher lights with new smoked light set.

These do not have the wipers like original lights, so now I have the holes and pegs on the black trim strips just under the headlights.

If I decide to keep this set up on and not go back to OEM lights with wipers does anyone have a suggestion for replacing the black metal strips under the lights?

Was there any matching body to mne that did not come with wipers?

Thanks,

AA

You can get a new set of filler panels without the wiper holes. 260Es did not come with wipers standard, so it's possible to find a junkyard set or buy new. I bought a set when I did the euro light conversion on our 87 300TD, and I recall they were pretty inexpensive.

One of the eBay sellers of Euro lights offers the filler panels for $19 or so (pr). Someone also did a writeup on how to mount US spec headlight wiper assemblies on the Euru lights. They won't clean as well as Euro-spec ones, but they will look better than the empty holes in the trim panels there; this is what I am going to do when I install my euros.

BTW, you want W124 trim panels, not W126, right? I think your title says W126.

1993-126???

I think that you might have a 124 if you have a 93 or if it the big car it is a 140. I think that 91 was the end of the 126's... If you can't find the filler without holes you can fill them.. Jim
