To eliminate any potential error or misunderstanding, the trim strips I have are the thin (approx 2 inch wide) versions used on the earlier W124 chassis. They were all dark grey in color.

Jim, pm sent. The right front suspension spring and upper mount perch are fine. Everything is solid. Looking forward to hearing from you, Sawsall at the ready

Hi Hanno, Happy 2009....Just sent the PP cash....Did you get the pic of my '87 300D ? It has the same painted grey rockers you noted on your car...I'm looking for the covers & jackplugs...not a priority at this time, but there most be some out there somewhere ???

I'm still using Netscape email, it does not work so well with my Windows 98 and my 9 year old hardware...I will have to move on & up date very soon. Thanks, keep me update...Jim D.

..I think you are correct about the '90 and up rocker molding. The PO was a MB service man and did tell me he updated ext. trim & leather interior from I think a '93....I believe the seat are from an S series car, but not sure.
