WTB: 4 to 5 spd manual trans conversion
Hello,
I have a 1979 280 SLC with manual 4 speed transmission. At 65 mph the engine is running at 3500 rpm and gets around 16 mpg. Want to change to 5 speed transmission. What Mercedes models with 5 speed manual trans will swap into my 280 SLC? Anyone have one FS? I am in San Diego soon to move to New Mexico. Patrick |

which side is your starter on? I am working on an adapter plate for a getrag 265. You would use you 4spd bell and you would need to get the trans from an older BMW and shorten your DS
