Sent you a PM, but haven't got a response back from you yet. It's going to be 61 tomorrow, so I'm probably going tomorrow after lunch.

I could use the instrument panel, or at least the outside temp lcd display, the neutal safety switch and the glow plug relay. I have the 6 cylinder diesel, so I think the glow plug relay is different.

Since this is a 300TE, I doubt there is a glow plug relay on it.

However, I'll be happy to pull the LCD outside temp display for you and the neutral safety switch (IF, I can get to it). Can you describe for me how to remove it? I know its general location and sort of what it looks like, but have never tinkered with one.

OH....speaking of glow plug relays; I think I know where there is one on an 87 300D. I'll look.

Ooops - Didn't pay attention to the 'E'. Anyway, the neutral safety switch is on the driverside of the transmission and I believe there are 2 bolts holding it to the tranny. It'll have a wiring harness going to it, and the shift linkage. I attached a picture of one. New they are $65.

That would be great if you could find the glow plug relay for me. The pick and pull here only has one W124 and it's been picked over pretty much.

As Jimmy knows, I'll do my best to find you a glow plug relay. And thanks for the neutral switch pics.

Glow Plug RELAY found.

I didn't make it to the 300TE, today. Got too late of a start to go to that junkyard. I have a LOT to do. Will try again later this week.

tail light lens

Are you going to visit the '88 300TE again before it is crushed? I could use the left tail lens. I guess it makes sense to pull both of them if they are not cracked. I also could use the bulb holders for each tail lens.

The LCD display was one of the half way things.......half of it looked like it might work, so I left it.

I tried to remove the neutral safety switch....the ring on the switch broke --- you didn't tell me I had to turn it before trying to unplug the cable. I left it...but if you can still use it; I'll grab it next time.....

I found a glow plug relay off of an 87 300D --- 603 engine....in a different yard.
