Use in 124?

Any thoughts about using this in a 91 300TE with 103 engine? Is the CCU pushbutton of a different design that is not affected by a dying high draw aux circulator pump or mono valve?

Thanks, Dave

Hey Dave,

Having a fuse link on the w124's aux pump is unnecessary. MB designed the circuitry on the newer models to handle an unfortunate surge.

Thanks for your inquiry.

In this thread I used a 30 amp when my blower failed, but I have now used a 20 amp since. A w126 would use a 25 or 30 amp fuse.
Inline Fuse on a HVAC Blower Motor

BTW to all, I make these for sale also.
I ordered, received and installed a set of these from DeliveryValve a few weeks ago. I got one for the Aux water pump, and one for the blower motor.

I'm very pleased- very easy and foolproof install, since the same connectors are used. They're quite sturdy. I really like how he's done these. It's good to know there's a little more protection there, from what could happen to these aging electrical components.

I think that in the W123s, at least 1982s, they changed the amperage for the blower motor fuse in the fuse box from 16 to 25 amps (A). I noticed this on the fuse designation card on the underside of the fuse box lid for my car. Way back in the 80s, I think, the dealer had blackened in the hollow circle symbol which stands for 16A for fuse #8 (blower motor, A/C compressor), indicating that the fuse capacity had changed from 16 A to 25 A. In 2007, I ordered a new fuse designation card (P/N 123 545 11 00) from a dealer to make sure- the newer card indeed has a black dot there, indicating 25 A.

That being said, I'm sticking with the 20A inline fuse in the fuse link for the blower motor. It hasn't blown yet...

I just bought 2 inline fuse connectors from DeliveryValve and they surpassed my expectations. They are very well made and install flawlessly. DeliveryValve is pleasant, helpful, and shipped promptly. This is a great addition to any W123 and I highly recommend this fast and easy solution.

I recently bought a 380SL. Full time california car!

Everything with my HVAC was working perfectly, that was until I decided to try my heat when it got cold one night.

It worked, for a bit and then pooft! Heat stopped working and worst yet my HVAC vents stopped working (vacuum works).

Sent off my HVAC system to James Dean for rebuilding and sent a PM to Delivery Valve for an inline fuse because no one gots time for splicin' wires!

If you've got an ACC 3 system and you haven't fuse protected the aux pump yet you're a fool playing with fire!

Get the dang fuses!

Just received my inline fuses. The fuses are well put together and look completely stock, like Mercedes should have done in the first place.

Easy transaction via PayPal and Richard is great to deal with. 5 Stars!
