'80 Euro 240D to part out

I have an '80 Euro, 240D parts car to part out.

Car has good Southern rust free sheet metal and a tear free palomino, cloth Euro interior. I am keeping the bumpers for when I restore my Euro 240D, but there are many body and interior parts available. If you need anything from it let me know. I will offer reasonable prices plus you pay shipping.

Also, I doubt if anyone is interested, but this car has manual steering.

Have a great day,

I've been looking for a right-side mirror assembly with nice chrome condition.

What are you looking to get for the euro cloth seats, they are palimino, right?

Also do you have the 4 position headlight adjustment switch?

Thanks!

Tim Freeh,

The car has an early four speed gear box.

Ken300D,

If memory serves me correctly, there is no right side rear view mirror. I will try to remember to check tonight.

Turbodiesel,

The car is the strange yellow color exterior with a palomino, or something close, interior. I will have to evaluate the color and condition closely. As I recall there are some stains, (no tears) but I don't remember how bad. My Silver 240D has the same cloth interior in Black, and there is a problem with the lower seat frame being broken down. I can't remember if I had discounted using the seat frame from the parts car because it is also broken down, or what. Let me look it over to give you an accurate assessment of it's condition and color. It seems like the color is a much lighter tan, and may look funny with your US Palomino door panels. If the color would match, it would make a neat looking and somewhat different interior for your 123 car. The Euro cloth is EXTREMELY durable. My Silver car has slight wear on the drivers seat left in the same place as in your picture(after all I sat my big butt in the car for a half million miles). I covered it with a sheepskin. The cloth interior in the parts car has no wear in this area, however. I only wish the parts car interior was black.

I already got the headlight adjustment switch from the parts car. I have another one somewhere that was originally in my Silver car, but I have yet to find it. My Silver car was grey market when I bought it many years ago and had US lights. When I bought this parts car, that's where I got the Euro lights that are now in the Silver car. The silver car still had the dial in the dash when I got it. I took it out and replaced it with a blank panel. But, I know I didn't throw the switch away. If I come across it I'll sell it to you.

Thanks everyone,

I was correct about no right side rear view mirror, sorry.

I was incorrect about the interior being completely tear free. There is a tear in the vinyl that is about 3 inches long and about 1/4" to 3/8" wide at the lower left of the drivers seat back. The tear is through the vinyl, but not all the way through the cloth backing that the vinyl adheres to. The color is indeed Palomino and would match US Palomino door panels perfectly. The cloth seat inserts have large stains, but I expect that they could be scrubbed out. It is a real shame about the tear, otherwise, I believe that with some elbow grease, this could be made into a very attractive interior. If you're still interested, I will try to come up with a fair price and find out how expensive it would be to ship such a bulky package.

Have a great day,

Manual Window Regulator

I have a 1980 240D that has a busted manual window regulator on the driver's side. Let me know if you're willing to take that out of the car you're parting out.

Thanks!

240D parts.....

Larry,

I'm interested in the center console wood piece, if its available. I have a '83 300 cd. Do you think the 240 would fit the 300?
Also, did the 240d have a passenger side sun visor vanity mirror? Thanks...

Larry's 240D is obviously special, but I don't think 240Ds come with dash or console wood.

All US 240D's had dash wood, but not all had console wood. Only the highest trim level Euro models had wood.

My '84 Euro 240D has wood on the dash, but not on the console. The '80 Euro parts car has no wood trim anywhere.

Sorry,
