WTB SEC hood and grill - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

Im looking for a poor finish but unbent SEC grill ( I will be painting it) and a slightly to moderately used SEC hood hood can have damage to side edges or rear edge but i would like the front to be intact, but all considered. or if you know a yard in the FLA area with an SEC please let me know.

what is so special about an SEC hood? Is it longer or different shape than a sedan hood?

SEC and SEL front ends are totally different. You can't just swap hoods. You also need the fenders, grille, lights, and a few other odds and ends. The hood is longer and the grille is a lot wider. Oh yeah, and the bumper chrome will have to be swapped to accomodate the different grille.

There's a guy in S. Carolina with an SEC he's parting out, contact Brad at xtcbytes@yahoo.com to see what he has left.

Doesnt look like he has an SEL, so no worries there

If thats what you are looking for, its not an SEC (126 series), rather its a 123 CE body.

look at the hood, it is an SEC grill and custom hood on a w123. here is another picture from the Erebuni site before it was removed.

Yep thats it, I remember seing that on the erebuni site years ago, seems they've taken all that stuff down now.

yeh they were on a liquidation sale last year and I could have gotten one but I hesitated. I called them and they are no longer available so they took it off the site. bummer. I think I can cut an SEC hood down to size, I am also planning to do a little nicer job molding in the lights, maybe make a custom projector set. we will see, I still need a hood to start
