FS: Front seat bottom for W123 / W124

I have the bottom portion of a seat for a W123 and/or W124. I think it is from a W124 but I bought it for my W123 because I was told it would fit (though might have to swap the rails and such). I bought it for the cushion because the fabric and springs are in good shape. The fabric is that standard "heavy vinyl" stuff that M-B uses. No rips or tears, but there are a few smudges on the upholstery that could probably be cleaned off.

I could not find a part number on it anywhere. I'd be happy to post that info if someone could tell me where to find it.

It is a tan color. Out of the two shades of tan/brown Mercedes used, this is the lighter.

I'll post pictures later today.

I'm in the Los Angeles area (Burbank). I'd prefer to sell locally since this will be difficult to ship.

$75 firm because that's what I paid for it and I just want to get my money back. I sold my '79 240D that I was going to put it into.

The W123 and W124 are not interchangeable..................
The 123 will interchange with the 116 and 126, but that is it.
No, the frame rails will not interchange either.
There should be a part# on the spring....check that.

That looks a whole lot like a W123 seat to me, but I could be mistaking it for an early W124.

I thought all W124s had power seats.

It would help to indicate what car this seat base came from. From what I can see it has 6 pleats, with deep grooves, telling me it's from an 84 or 85 model 300D/TD...

I got it from a Mercedes specializing salvage yard, already taken off the car, so don't know what car it was from. The guy didn't say or I don't remember.

I'll look closer for the part number when I get a chance (new baby just arrived so that might be a little bit).

If you measure the track length and width, and compare it with another W123, that would answer the question.

OK I found the part number, on a tag around the springs as mentioned.

You guys were right - it is from a W116.

The part number is: 116 910 1050

Let me know if any interest, otherwise I'll post a new thread with the correct info.

Yes, still available. I recently moved and haven't had a chance to re-post it for sale. PM me if interested and we can go from there.
