98-99 E Class Wheels

Hi,

I wanted to see if anybody here would like the first shot at these wheels. If not I'll start them on ebay. These are a set of 4 factory alloys, 16 by 7.5 with a 41 mm backspacing. I bought them to put on my '94 E320, but I am going to go with some AMG wheels instead. The wheels on my W124 are 15 by 7 ET37, so the additional 1/2 inch on these rims is almost split evenly between inside and out. They fit great.

Condition: I am trying to find a scanner that works, but I do have some photos. Two of the rims have some light curb scratching on the very edge. They would clean up nicely with a fine file with the tires off. One has a small ding in the very outter edge of the rim. It's about the size of the end of your thumb and could be easily smoothed out with a file or repaired by a wheel shop. It's cosmetic only and could be overlooked entirely depending on how meticulous you are about such things. I'll post the picture and you'll see the ding. The tires are Michelin 215/55/16, but are due for replacement.

This picture is one I snagged from ebay to illustrate the style. It is not an actual picture of my rims.

I have all 20 lug nuts (you can't use W124 lug nuts with these) and the center caps.

I'm looking for $400 for these. Any interest???

Okay, they're on ebay:

I started them at $275, but I hope they don't go that cheap...

The file is too big to post, but I can e-mail the .jpg picture if anybody wants to zoom in and take a really colse look at them.

Robert,

I think the offset for your wheels is in the 20s, so the offset on these is a little too much for your application. But, if you like the style you could use spacers to bring them back out.

I would check the width and offset of your current wheels (it's stamped on the back of the wheel), and then play around with the offset calculater here:

Thanks,
