Are there any differences between the euro headlights made by bosch or hella? Is one whiter than the other matching the color of clear corners better?
Do 100% clear taillights exist for W126? I've seen the ones that are red and white only. Regards, Mike |

The latest Precision auto catalog says they gave clear tailights for a variety of MBs. http://www.precisionauto.com/
I believe that PartShop has clear front turn indicators, I don't know about clear rear indicators. There shouldn't be any intrinsic color difference between the Hella and Bosch. They both use H4 bulbs - co;or will depend on what kind of bulbs you install (Halogen, Xenon, etc.) ------------------ JCE 87 300E, 62k miles Smoke Silver |

When I said color, I was talking about the lenses of the headlights, not the bulbs, sorry. I want a whiter lens that will match my clear corners better. My US headlights are too gray. Was just wondering if there was any differences in appearance of the lenses of the european headlights made by hella and bosch. Thanks.

Dan you can get them at www.hova.com.
JCE - On what page does it say they have clear taillights? I couldn't find it. On page 19 and 22 of the Precision catalog the headlights match the clear corners perfectly. Thats what I'm looking for. Are these headlights xenon's or europeans? Mike |

Mike/560SEL:
On page 5 they list the monochromatic tail lights, and underneath they say "Ask about W124 clear lens NEW". Since it is on the page and section about rear lenses, I assume they are talking about clear rear lenses. On re-reading the page, I guess they only have the clear rear lenses for W124s, but have clear front lenses for many MB models. Sorry for any confusion. ------------------ JCE 87 300E, 62k miles Smoke Silver |

I heard that only bosch makes the european headlights for W126. Is this correct?

Probably. The Hella Germany home page for Mercedes at http://www.hella.de/handel/benz/indexe.htm
doesn't list them for your car. ------------------ JCE 87 300E, 62k miles Smoke Silver |

JCE - You know if bosch has a similar sight to hella's or if theres any other site that has pics of bosch's lights?

Bosch has really terrible web sites - I have been to the US, German, UK (didn't work), and SE Asia sites. None of them show the replacement lights, all of them messed up Internet explorer (or were so poorly written that they couldn't get past my firewall). It might be easier to find different color clear signals to match the Hellas than to find the Bosch units and hope they match the signals. Good luck!
