the white thing is a gas tank lid for a 107, the fuse box is off a w115, window is rear passenger W115,door handle -W115 , chrome trim rings and overflow tank - W107, vacuum pod is for gas door lock, many models used this

Since I see some 107 parts, I'll ask... I'm looking for parts for the aux fan. What I really need is just the fan base, with the circuit board inside and cable attached. So a fan that was in a front end collision that broke the blades but electrical is still good would be a great fit.

I think so.... I've looked at the pic of an 83 380 SL, and the grille seems identical. Of course it's a 12 V fan. The concern would be the connector, but that's probably the same as your 1972 SL! I checked my fan housing, and I don't see a part number, just a Bosch logo. The connector is a male, with a "Circle K" logo and "9602" molded into it. If these seem to match what you have, I'll give it a shot. Agreed?

I guess the next step is to PM an offer price, and I need to ask if you can get it out before the weekend. My radiator should be back from being re-cored then, and to my astonishment, it seems that the radiator and A/C condensor need to come out, or at least be loosened, to get the aux fan out (or in).
