need a really obscure insignificant part

I have a 190E - on the dash panel above the center vents there are two switches - one for rear defroster and the other is for a switch that my car wasn't optioned for. So- there was just a rectangular piece of trim plastic that snapped in to fill the hole. Mine fell out, and when I attempted to snap it back into place I fumbled and it fell down in behind the panel. Now who knows where it is. Anybody have one or know where I can get one of these things? That hole drives me nuts. Thanks

Late 190s deleted the antenna switch, thus you had a blanking plate.

I think any 91 or later 190 will also come with the same blank.

Possibly, since the switch size looks similar to a W123, an early W123 upper console blank would sub in.

Alternative is to get a spare switch and just stick it in the hole.....

In either event, you need to pull the panel off to replace the blank (or switch), I think it just pulls straight off, but it's been 15 years since I've had a 190.... Of course, once you have pulled of the panel, why not not just reach in an try to recover your original blank?

I'd have to check, but I probably have an antenna switch in my parts car

Don't pull that panel, there is a screw behind the left switch hole.

Thanks for the catch, as I said, it's been a while since I've had one....

OK - I'll investigate more thoroughly, thanks for the info. So to recap all I have to do is remove a screw behind the left switch hole and that panel will come off?
