Exclamation WTB: W124 Headlights

Came home today and saw this:

These were aftermarket headlights bought from Katmac Imports a while ago and it looks like they don't have them for sale anymore. Anyway I still don't know how it happened, I am having the gym I finally saw it at check their tapes tonight and I'll have my company check their cameras tomorrow.

Anyone have these headlights for sale? Perhaps you have the 1995 headlights for sale? I think they use the same six pin european plugs like these:

As compu said, keep an eye out for the lens alone. They are out there!

I believe they are a little different than the 95 lenses but will those replacements work?

Good advice guys!

Yep, the later W124 lenses have a contour to match the revised grille. They will fit, but I'd hold out for the stock lens type. Keep looking -- I know I have seen them out there! You might put some tape over that hole for now to keep the finish on the reflector protected.

Yeah I plan to tape it tomorrow morning, thanks. I see what your saying; so even though these will fit they really are made for a newer model grill. I don't seem to see any on eBay that don't have that 'fit-to-new-grill' cut to them. I am wondering what to even look up? I am looking for a lens that was probably never sold on an American car lol!

Someone mentioned German Star has replacements (I think ~$90 each). IIRC Phil can't get them, but please check with him first (Fastlane parts link at the top of the page). It's good to support our sponsor, and last time I ordered from him, 90% of the order showed up the NEXT DAY! Great service, as usual.

That second link is the later style W124 lens; see the contour on the left side of the lens? That follows the curve in the revised grille. You want one w/o that contour in the glass... a standard W124 euro lens. If I have time tomorrow I'll try to look around and see if I can re-find any of the lenses I have seen in the past online. Katmac Imports used to sell euro light assemblies online, so you might email them to see if they have any parts. Google the name, and you'll find their site.

Everybody thanks for your help; I got a few offers for used ones that were in okay condition but in the end Katmac Import had them new for the same price or cheaper than a few of the offers I got on here.

Thanks again!

Anyhelp somewhere on how to replace the lens itself--from a 1994 E320, leftside.
I see the two clips on top--i popped out the turn signal corner light assembly.
I'm wondering if i can replace the lens without taking out the entire headlight assembly.

thank you!

IIRC there are clips below too so the assemblies have to come off the car.

Consider a protective film like Lamin-x when you get a new lens.

This thread was over a year old -- way to bring up the dead , your car has a different set of headlights than mine do however I had clips on the top and bottom. Good luck.
