New Items

I've got some new items to add to the Garage Sale. Hey! Look! It's a different garage.

I've got these trunk w123 badges and star. I also have a w124 hood start. Shoot me a PM with an offer on what you need.

Question Floppy Trunk Mat

I have a question :

Has anyone tried soaking the fabric trunk mat in laundry starch to stiffen it up ?.

Mine slides all over the place when I'm driving and the edges are all curled up .

I have NOT tried this --- Couldn't the curled up edge be soaked in water, laid out flat upside down and be weighted down with a flat board with weights on top?

To eliminate sliding, I'm thinking double sided tape or velcro or small dabs of glue.

Size Matters ???

I just did a pictorial comparison between the w123 and w124 hood stars over here: http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/mercedes-used-parts-sale-wanted/337961-fs-w123-blue-front-seats-pair%3B-both-drivers-passengers.html

And while taking those pics of the hood stars, I noticed something about the size difference on various diesel lettering on the trunk badges. Does size really matter? Maybe a 240D needs bigger lettering? If I remember, I will compare the 240D to the 300D on the back of my car.

If you scroll up, you see I have a 240D, DIESEL, and TURBODIESEL trunk badges for sale. Here's a closeup comparsion between the "diesel" parts in DIESEL and TURBODIESEL:
