You pay shipping: a few 1985 300D California car specific parts...

I have a 1985 300D California car that I am emasculating so I have some California-specific parts for you purists out there...
  • 1 Trap Oxidizer
  • 1 EGR valve and tube assembly
  • 1 plastic cover for the switch assembly on top of the valve cover. This houses the two vacuum valves on pre 1985s; they changed to an electrical contact switch in 1985 but kept the same blank plastic cover. If anyone has a broken one and wants to replace it...part number is 617 0720204.
If you are willing to pay the shipping on any of these parts you can have them. Of course, the trap oxidizer will be expensive-it weights at least 20 pounds.

I didn't say it was smart; I said it was available.

I have seen some posts where people were looking for Trap Oxidizers and Cat converters so they could open them up and see what's in them.

If the turbine doesn't have the usual hole burned thru the housing it could very well be the trap cat/turbo that was installed during the recall.
