WTB: SLS Valve for W123 Wagon
Hi,
I need to replace my SLS valve. I recently took it apart and rebuilt it with the o-ring kit, but the actuator inside had warn grooves in the aluminum halves and it sometime gets stuck, builds pressure, and blasts the low pressure return hose off the valve body. I'm looking for one in good working condition where the arm moves smoothly. And if you've taken it apart and know the inside looks good, even better. I think there are a couple different styles, I need the latest as my wagon is an '84. Thanks.

The only difference between the early and late valves is one of the fittings. Early cars (maybe up to 1980 or 1981) have a banjo fitting on one of the lines, everything after that has a flare fitting. The part that the fitting screws into is the same, so you can use either valve if you take the fitting off of your existing valve, assuming it is not petrified in place.
