W108 4.5 in junkyard

Hey guys,

Spotted a brand new arrival: a very sad looking black 4.5 at the yard on Telfair. Promptly the local hawks took out the fuel pump and one managed to mangle the entire interior without any clue as to how to remove the cluster. The interior is in a miserable state, but lots of body panels and mechanicals, including suspension, there for the taking.

Happy parting!

If you have to ask, not in your neighborhood.

This is one of the 2 main Pick-a-Part places in the San Fernando Valley. A lot of people here are in the LA area. I should have been more specific.

I wasn't quoting the NAME of the place, but the style of junkyard. Man, everything has to be chewed out for the lot of you!

Is Telfair a city, a neighborhood, or the name of a business?

I've lived all over So. Cal. for 42 years, and I've never heard of Telfair.

LOL I expected "Thanks for the heads up!" rather than confusion over what "Telfair" is. If you lived in SoCal and visited the junkyards, you'd know that Telfair is a street on which one of the two main foreign yards is located: the other is Pendleton; they're both in Sun Valley in the San Fernando Valley.

It's my fault for not mentioning in the first post that this was in the LA area, I figured my location gave it away.

Aaaaaah, I've been to one in Sun Valley. I've never paid attention to what street it is on. Could've been the one on Telfair.

Thanks for the heads up!

Ahhh...Sun Valley!

That was on the news during a fire, so I know where that is.
