What is the story with it being apart? Did it through a chain or somthing?

You can read about this engine under the Posts of Nathan Carter, who is pretty much off the Forum the past couple of years. But Nathan had this engine completely rebuilt in 98-99 and I think the pump failed in 2000. Engine had 8000 plus miles on it. He had the car in dry storage for about 10 years. I bought the car from him last year and am finishing installing my 85 617 in it. When the pump went, it jammed the chain, broke the chain and camshaft and towers but did not damage pistons or cylinder walls.
