WTB - W116 driver's door

Need good condition door for W116 (300SD). Preferably silver, but any color will suffice. Must have intact door handles and interior hardware. No door card needed.
PM with any leads.

Is a little rust on the bottom ok, or are you looking for completely rust free?

I ask because I do have a silver door that is good for a Wisconsin door, but it does have some rust blisters on the bottom.

I will start looking.....

It would do me good to be able to drop off a silver door at your house. I don't have any trips planned in that direction....but I never know where my "treasure hunting" might take me.

Thanks Wodnek. I'm not sure how much shipping would be for one of these doors to Atlanta, though. How much do they weigh?
It might be better for me to try here in the SE first. I may have to expand my search parameters before too long. I'll keep you in mind.
Hi daw, I should have had you snatch one of the doors you had access to before I came and picked up the car. At the time, there were 5 W116 in the yards here. Now...zero. Let me know if you find anything.

Thanks again guys.

Anyone in the Atlanta area?

No hurry, I have made no attempt to sell my doors. In 5 years, it's likely I will still have it, unless i get foolish and buy another 6.9 to restore.

Another 6.9? That's considered masochism, isn't it?

Willing to travel

I would be willing to drive a reasonable distance to pick one up. Especially if you have a parts car that I maybe can cadge some other parts from.
120 miles out of Atlanta would work great. Farther if the parts are that much better.
I know, I know: I'm not asking much.

O.K.

Jim, if you would get me pictures, that would be great.

David, I'll be in touch about getting it from you on your way back from Indiana.
What route would you take, do you know?

I have the headlight surrounds, and front turn signal.

Go with new for the front windshield. it is not expensive.

The rear is very expensive, but everyone I've seen in boneyards have been delaminated in the rear. I had a perfect one in my 73 parts car, but cracked it during removal, bummer, it was to go in my 6.9.
$70 shipped for the 2 surrounds and front signal sound fair?

Oh, I also have a set of four round E code headlights that were from my 80 450SEL if you are interested. They are a signifigant upgrade on the lighting. i cannot remember if they are Bosch or Hella.
